All of our adoptable animals are in the care of  volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org

Not sure you're ready to adopt? Fostering an animal may be a great way to find out if you're ready! Ask about our Foster-to-Adopt Program

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Sponsors are needed to help with vet care expenses as well as food, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, etc. Monetary donations may be sent via http://paypal.com to donations@alspca.org. You may also mail your donation to Alabama SPCA, P.O. Box 78, Northport, AL 35476

About Gabrielle

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
  • Location: 35401
  • Housetrained: Yes

Gabrielle was an injured stray in Lamar county, AL. With nowhere to go and nowhere to lay his head, Gabrielle was in dire need. As he struggled for several days on his own, with no food, shelter or water, a good samaritan came along to help. That nice man called on the Alabama SPCA for help and we are thankful he did!

After multiple xrays and an evaluation, it was determined that Gabrielle's injury would require only a little medication and a few weeks of crate rest. That was three months ago and now Gabrielle is doing wonderful!

Gabrielle is heartworm negative, has been neutered, vaccinated, and is ready for his forever home! Gabrielle does have some allergies so he needs to stay on a monthly flea/tick prevention at all times as well as eat a good quality diet.
