All of our adoptable animals are in the care of  volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org

Not sure you're ready to adopt? Fostering an animal may be a great way to find out if you're ready! Ask about our Foster-to-Adopt Program

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Sponsors are needed to help with vet care expenses as well as food, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, etc. Monetary donations may be sent via http://paypal.com to donations@alspca.org. You may also mail your donation to Alabama SPCA, P.O. Box 78, Northport, AL 35476

“Hello, my name is Cami, and I am addicted to treats.” Cami was such a love bug! As soon as we hit the grass Cami was ready for action. This playful and fun loving girl likes to have a good time. She soon spots the treats coming from my pouch and thinks it may be fun to stick her head in there. After a run around the yard she comes over and within 5 minutes I have her sitting on command for treats. This sweet girl aims to please, is easy to teach and is energetic. Cami got a perfect A on her SAFER! She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, kids 12 and up, and would need to be walked to help her burn the energy off. Cami has been at the shelter for a long time, it would be so wonderful for her to find her new home today!
