Kara is a sweet, loving little rat terrier girl, approx 10 lbs, rescued from Walker county, AL. Unfortunately, Kara's previous owner had threatened to use her for target practice. Luckily some very nice people acted quickly and Kara was kept safe.

We don't know much about Kara's past. Kara does have a little wobble in her back legs when she walks. What we do know is that Kara is a little timid at times. At first we assumed she had been abused. However, after her vet visit, we are unsure because the xrays show excellent bone structure. Kara has been on prescription medication to help with possible injury we cannot see. Normally, with the medication and crate rest, the symptoms subside. However, in Kara's case, not much has changed. Therefore, the vet believes Kara's little wobbling back legs may be a congenital defect.

Kara gets around great! She prefers to be in a lap as much as possible. She's great with children and loves other dogs and even cats! Kara seems so thankful to be getting the care and love she so desires. She would love to have a forever home!

We do believe that Kara is a rat terrier. She's got a docked tail and her dew claws were removed. She will soon be spayed! If you are looking for a loving companion that will fit perfectly with your family, Kara is your girl!
