My name is Larry and I'm a one year old bully mix with the cutest, pointy ears. I've just recently started my journey towards a brand new life, here in the Alabama SPCA foster program. Prior to my rescue, I lived outdoors 24/7, roaming the wooded areas nearby. One Saturday several weeks ago, I came running home for help after a hunter shot me. My front leg was in terrible pain and bleeding badly. Several days went by, the pain got worse and my leg began to swell. I got really tired and the pain was more than I could bare. My mom said she couldn't take me to a vet so she contacted the rescue group just in time because I was suffering from a horrible infection. For two days I was given fluids and antibiotics for the infection. My wound was treated and luckily I was able to go to my foster family just a few days later.

I am now doing so much better. My leg is still bandaged but I feel like a king now, even though I still limp just a tad bit. My best friend in my foster home is a fluffy puppy named Teddy. We love to play as much as possible, each and every day! I'm learning all about what it's like to live inside as part of the family. I'm even learning about crate and house training!

I have really enjoyed the recovery time with my foster family. However, my foster mom tells me this is not my last stop. I will soon begin to meet potential adoptive families. I cannot wait! How exciting to have a second chance! Soon, I will become part of an amazing forever family, where I will be loved and given the care I so deserve!
